VARF Weekend 1

Have to apologize in advance for not being much of a picture taker. I'm not a fan of having my picture taken so I don't tend to take many of people at all.

Opening weekend of VARF was pretty miserable for a number of reasons. It was nice to see faces I haven't seen since pre-covid but covid was always poking at the back of my brain. Add that constant worry to the constant worry over the diabetes and my brain is fairly occupied with horrible things that don't leave room for much else.

The weekend started by me falling over a tree stump in the dark while trying to get from the RV to the house to use the privy. Banged up my leg pretty good.

Dragging out the garb that has been packed away since November means also having to de-cat hair EVERYTHING. I feel like I single-handedly keep the lint roller companies in business during faire season.

Working for the band is generally a lot of fun. We had two new folks with us for opening weekend so there were hitches but those can be worked out. This is what happens backstage when a bagpipe band has to rehearse but can't use practice chanters or their pipes.

I signed up for Romance Wars which is the Rennie version of a secret santa. You send little gifts to your assigned person every weekend. Most festivals I got someone I do not know/ have never met so I sneakily introduced myself yesterday. My person sent me a lovely rose (my choice so I took yellow). It came at the end of the day and at the end of what was for me a very long weekend so thank you! In the picture it looks like one of the cats has already tried to eat it.

The rough parts of the weekend were really rough. One of my favorite people ended up leaving the festival in an ambulance & being hospitalized. I'm sending all the good vibes out for a positive outcome. That one is a light the world needs.

And then ...

One of the acts we share a stage with decided a diabetes joke was a good idea. He's probably been making the joke unchallenged for years. I don't bother watching his show so I'd never heard it when we've shared the stage in the past. Unfortunately for him it was a quiet, overcast day and he decided to mic himself so I could hear very clearly from backstage. I took it as well as one would imagine. After his show (because advocacy happens everywhere) I asked him if the diabetes joke was necessary and he replied, "What if I said my father died from diabetes?"

Y'all might be proud to know I kept my composure but did ask, "So that makes diabetes funny? This is me, as an insulin pump wearing diabetic, telling you the joke is inappropriate."

He tried to make it sound like he was raising awareness about diabetes by making THE very trite, stigmatizing, and false "joke" that sugar causes diabetes. We've heard these idiotic, non-witty jokes a million times. OUR DISABILITY IS NOT YOUR PUNCHLINE.

He did say that while he couldn't promise me anything he would consider his material. In other words, he isn't going to change a fucking thing. Might need some cat poop in his tip jar. I left things cordial because I have to apparently share a stage with him for the next 4 weekends. Just adding further confirmation that this will be the last year I work or attend this show.

Hopefully the rest of the weekends go a bit better.

Hitting The Road

For a few anyway. Heading to Virginia to work the Virginia Renaissance Festival with a couple added gigs at the end including a trip to Alaska for The Alaska Scottish Highland Game s.

I need to try to do better about taking pictures but I'm really not a photographer, nor do I particularly enjoy having my picture taken.

Pray for me, y'all. It;s going to be 8 cats and 2 humans in a 36' RV. A couple of the weekends we have a bagpiper crashing with us so it's going to be interesting for sure.

I have some concerns about covid. I've done very well protecting myself but the property we stay on for this festival has already had one case in the house and there are generally 15ish people staying a tthe house on any given night. I hope folks understand if I'm not Captain Social Pants. I am still taking n95 precautions when I have to be indoors with people and am still socially distancing outside when I'm not wearing a mask. I don't think this is over-reactive behavior. I've enjoyed not having a cold or a flu for the past couple of years so masking will continue for me..

Now I need to go back to packing and cleaning this camper so when I come home it's spotless.

Reddit Secret Santa, Bullet Journal, Work Updates

I'm super excited to be participating for the very first time. Unfortunately, my match didn't give me much info to go on so I've reached out to try to get some insight.

As far as my own preference form - I could have listed a million practical things. That is my usual fall back when anyone asks me about what they can buy me as a gift. I'm gonna let it go this time and let life surprise me a little.

Today was Cyber Monday. I took advantage and ordered some planner stickers to make keeping up with my bullet journal easier and more fun. 4 sets of 2018 mini calendar stickers as well as 12 sheets of seasonal stickers and month headers. So my journal will actually be sort of pretty and not just functional.

I wrote up my key today and just need to port it into the notebook. I'm still trying to settle on a monthly spread. I've drawn up 4 or 5 examples and just can't seem to settle on one. Thankfully, it can always be changed the next month if the current layout doesn't work. The fluidity of a bullet journal is the best thing about it.

I'll be spending time tomorrow finishing up December's monthly spread so I can be ready for some daily entries. December is a busy month so this is a good time to test and see if I'll maintain a bullet journal.

I just finished up two very hard weeks at LARF. We do three student days the week before Thanksgiving and then open for Black Friday. I survived and so did everyone else!

I get to return to my normal 5 off/ 2 on schedule for another two weeks before likely heading into Winter hiatus until April.

I really need to find a way to manifest a new to me 25' Class C RV into my world. I need a reliable home. I have offers to work but can't do it because my 30 year old camper van just isn't up to it. While I love the van and it has been good to me for 5 years, I need more space at this point. I'd also like to not have to worry it's going to leave me sitting on the side of the road. So the van will likely be going up for sale soon. I'd like to get what I paid to replace the carb and tires for it. It needs love from someone who can invest the time and finances. I need functionality right now.

I'll be headed towards Texas around Dec 20. Couple days in Houston and a couple days in The Woods before turning back and going North to MD. Continue Reading

Where's Cherry Been?

Holy hoot! Last update in March and here it is August already. This year is both flying by and moving at a snails pace.

Here's a what I've been up to since my last update:

In February I joined in with my friend Michael Hughes in what's since been dubbed the #MagicResistance A large group of folks across the globe are now participating in monthly binding rituals to get Trump out of office. For more information on that please check out our group, Bind Trump The group is wonderfully empowering and makes magic accessible to even the most novice of magical folk. We are an extremely diverse group in background and belief. There's even a Christopagan version of the binding ritual for those who aren't comfortable with the original.

Attended and worked 5 weeks at the Virginia Renaissance Faire with The Rogues back in May/ June One awful picture exists to show I was actually there. For what it's worth I was more appropriately dressed, I stripped off my skirts to hoop in my Rennie underwear.
During the run of the faire I adopted a new kitten. Well, actually my travel partner adopted a new kitten who then decided to adopt me. (Travel partner then adopted another kitten) Meet Baron Mortimer von Fuzzybritches. I call him Morti-purr. He's a sweetie. Not an overly clingy kitty but he likes people well enough. There was chaos in the house while all of the cats adjusted to each other but all is well now. Mortimer was also a very, very sick kitty when we got him. He's still got some eye issues going on several months later.

Other than that I've mostly been chilling and getting myself in gear for the Maryland Renaissance Festival. I'm hoping I'll be back to hostessing for the Rapunzel's Hair-Braiding so if you come visit look for me either at the main booth not too far from where you enter or by the booth behind the Boar's Head Pub.

Over The Hump

We're fast approaching the beginning of week 6 (of 9) of the Maryland Renaissance Festival. So far this season we've had a really hot weekend, a rained out day (where we are still open but only to amuse ourselves really) and an iffy weekend where rain was forecast but then didn't happen to attendance was low and slow. This weekend looks to be a fully rained out mess. Hurricane Joaquin is hanging out down south and pulling steady rains over Maryland. The forecast is that it will continue through the weekend, although the chance of rain seems to go down every time I look. I don't see us escaping without a weekend full of rain.

I still haven't had new pictures taken. I need to seek someone out to do that for me on the next nice weekend. My hair has grown out quite a bit from last years chop job.

I have managed to get sick. This week has been miserable. First, I slept weird on Monday night and my neck has been screaming at me since. Today is the first day I've woken up and could move without being in extreme pain. Second, I have a respiratory infection. Pretty sure that's from breathing in so much dust at MDRF. This year the dust seems like it's worse than it has been in years past. I really just want to stay in bed but it's Friday and I need to head over the the shop to clean up last weeks dust. At least with the rain I won't have to worry about that this week. Hell, I may only work half days both days if it continues to piss rain.

News at the Inn:

I moved my bed to the upstairs attic which means the dinette is now a table again. I'm digging the change. I'm hoping that once I feel better I'll sleep better in the upstairs bed. The cats are finally starting (after about 5 days) to explore the new bed and all of the space. Dandy is, of course, sleeping up there with me but the other cats still are unsure of it all. Even Dot who had made the smaller attic her domain isn't spending much time up there with the new bed.

I'll be in a mad rush to fix my carburetor as soon as MDRF ends. I took a job managing a booth at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. I'm looking forward to working through December. After that it depends on the weather where I end up. I want to come back north and either go to mom's in DE or come back to friends in MD in time for Christmas. Continue Reading

Onward!

The seasons are changing fast here in Maryland. The air is whispering of Autumn already with cool nights and daytime temps in the 80's. We're three weeks into MDRF with only 6 more to go.

Last winter I went to my mom's in Delaware to spend some time with her and catch up on life in general. This year I'm heading south to the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. Last night I secured a gig working for a hair accessory booth. The pay isn't fabulous but it's better than no pay. I love this little festival, too. It's very cute (unless it rains and the lake in the middle overflows).

I still have to replace my carburetor before I leave MD which is some of the reason I was looking to work through the winter. That repair is going to cost me quite a bit of my saved funds from MDRF.

The cats are well and I am well - mostly. I get a bit antisocial when working festivals because it's a lot of energy to sit and small talk with people all day. It takes me a while to recharge. Continue Reading

MDRF is Coming!

Exactly two weeks from today I will be moving to a new yard for the next three months. That's right, it's time once again for the Maryland Renaissance Festival!

I'm so glad to have the privilege of once again caming on-site. Last year was hard traveling back and forth between Odenton to Crownsville. Stacy was nice enough to lend me her vehicle to make the drives but leaving her without a vehicle is a scary idea now that there are two wee ones in the house. This year I won't have to worry so much about it and I'll hopefully be able to score some work during the week which will help with wintering costs.

Maryland Renaissance Festival Starts Tomorrow

Woohoo! I return to the world of weekend employed tomorrow. I'm so looking forward to having weekends to work since I haven't worked a physical job since April. Being out of my garb for almost 4 months has been a nice break and it makes me excited to be getting back into it.

There are a lot of friends I'm excited to see who I only get to see at the Maryland faire. I'm not camping on site and I'm actually a little grateful for that although it makes life easier when I'm there - being able to walk to work, sleeping in a little later, hanging out in the evenings - all good things. But by not being on site I won't have to deal with the shit stirrers drama, the mud when it's raining, being alone, having ot drive out to do laundry or spot-a-potties. All in all I'm glad I ended up staying put where I am.

I'll be working for a new business this year so that means new skills, new merchandise and new faces. I'll be working next door to some folks who I adore so that's a plus too.

I'm looking forward to the season even though I'm getting no play time. At least I know solidly what my house are plus there aren't many acts that I am dying to see - well none actually. My favorite acts aren't there this year so there are faces I'm going to miss seeing but who knows, maybe next year.

Holy Crap, It's April!

Where did the last few months go? I've been a drained little bee. The weather has not been normal here in Texas. Last winter in Houston, it got a little chilly and rains quite a bit. This year in San Marcos has been FRIGID.

The Inn is nice and toasty when it's chilly outside but the tent that I worked in for Medieval Moccasins at the Sherwood Forest Fair was not. I said before, Sherwood is a lovely little festival with the exception of starting in February. 8 weeks, every weekend was horrible weather at least one (and most cases both) day(s). Ridiculous. We managed to do okay out there given the weather but not without sapping the energy out of my entire being.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival started this past weekend (which Sunday was also my 39th birthday) and felt like the weather just isn't ready to be Springish. Opening day was good despite being overcast and gloomy but then there was Sunday. Sunday started with thunderstorms and pissing rain and that trend continued until just after midnight when Randy and I pulled back into home in San Marcos.

Here's hoping this weekends weather is better. At least the booth at Scarby is actually a structure and not a tent. It makes riding out rough weather a lot better!

This past week I've also purchased a Brother XL2600I sewing machine and plan to undertake some sewing projects. There are some things I need, some things I want and some things that just look hella fun to make. I'll be posting updates here and directly to a Facebook Page which I will announce later. First, I need to get the machine here and find some space to learn how to use it.. Second, I need to pick out one of the hundreds of projects I've been collecting since I pushed the purchase button.

Randy bought me a little portable music player so I can have music to hoop to, as soon as I remember where I put my webcam I'll be getting some sort of video up.

I've also been gardening up a small storm. As much as I can do and still expect to feasibly travel with my plants.

Wayward Pussy Inn 2013 In Review

It's the end of the year as I know it and I feel fine!

2013 was an interesting and quite busy year. As I look back at my blog from 2013 I realize that, really, I was nearly too busy to actually update much here. Oh, I touched on things that were interesting but I really didn't open up like I should be doing. I'm on the most wonderful adventure - my life!

I'm starting 2014 in my van and am a mere 2 months shy of my 2 year VANiversary. I just can't believe that. When I moved into the van I was pretty much in despair. My life was at a place that wasn't working for me and I was so unhappy that my health and everything else was suffering. Now, nearly two years later, I'm still so grateful for the breakdown that caused me to be where I am right now.

Gone are my fears of wondering how I will survive and what will become of me. I know I can and will survive anything this life will throw at me because, at this point, there really isn't too much in the way of tragedy or happiness that I haven't experienced. There are only a handful of sad days I can foresee in my future and none of them are immediate so those bridges will be dealt with when I need to.

What follows is a disjointed collection of stuff I did/ accomplished in 2013. . .

2013 saw a creative increase for me - I've learned to hula hoop and hoop dance. I haven't quite mastered this at all but I've gotten leaps and bounds better than I was. I'm coming up on two Hoopiversaries. Last January I bought my first hula hoop and I'll be honest, I didn't use it much. I purchased the wrong size and the wrong weight which made hooping not so much fun. So January is my hoopiversary as far as WANTING to hoop. We all know that wanting and doing are two very, very different things and that first hoop just managed to collect dust. In April at Scarborough Renaissance Festival my hoop fire was rekindled by some wonderful and supportive people who were also learning to hoop. They made hooping and learning - and sometimes failing - so much fun that I have kept with it. I now own several hoops and have at least two more hoop purchases to make. Am I hooping fire yet - no. Maybe that will happen this year. I am very proud of how far I have come with hooping and am always shocked at not only how much I enjoy hooping but how much I enjoy teaching other people to hoop.

Also in 2013 I became the master of the blown out egg. I made all sorts of lovely little crEGGtions from flower covered eggs to dragons eggs. I managed to get two eggs into a folk art display in San Antonio (which is still crazy to me). It's a weird feeling to know that something I made was liked enough that it is on display somewhere.

I painted glass pendants, learned paper quilling, made hot air balloons, leather pins, learned how to make Medieval Moccasins and hair clips.

2013 saw me lose someone who was only in my world for a brief time but who touched me to my core. Ingrid Wendt was one of those people who just made you feel good. She had wonderful energy that was glorious to bask in. She lived the life I want and her stories were inspiring, her life was inspiring and because of knowing her I am a better person. She passed away quickly after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. While her presence here at the Medieval Moccasins headquarters is missed, her energy is still felt.

I did less traveling this year than last year but in some ways that's a good thing. I logged a mere 3,444 miles in the Inn. I'm sad to say I didn't make it to any van runs in 2013 but that will change for 2014 as there is a run in Houston in January that I intend to attend.

I attended 6 Renaissance festivals in 5 different states this year. Florida was the new state on this year's journey. Hopefully I'll get to see that one again. I quit smoking analog cigarettes and made the switch to an e-cigarette. 6 months later I am still smoke free!

I learned how to make homemade liqueurs. Limoncello is now something I make as frequently as I run out of it.

I participated in or helped organize 3 fundraisers/ clothing drives this year - The Rogues did two fundraisers this year, one for Moore, OK tornado victims and one for Ingrid Wendt's family. And I helped collect a ton of clothing for the homeless in Baltimore.

What do I want out of 2014? I don't know. Last year I thought I wanted land and a homestead and while that's still a goal, it's definitely not in my near future. I suppose I'd like to make it through the year with no loss of anyone close to me or anyone close to anyone close to me. I'd like to continue to grow into someone who takes an interest in other people, who volunteers, who takes interest in where our country is going (because that future doesn't look too bright right now). I'd like to gain more confidence in my hooping. I'd like everyone around me to be healthy, happy, and successful in this coming year.

Rabble, Rabble, Travel, Rabble

It's been a while since I've updated here but that's mostly because there hasn't been much going on - sort of.

After MDRF ended I packed up the Inn and headed South. The Rogues had a show at the Sarasota Medieval Fair and we had a little trouble actually getting there.

We stopped for a couple days break at Randy's parents house in NC. Of course, the day we were set to leave there I started up The Inn and gasoline came pouring out from under the hood. Not good. Turns out my fuel pump went kaput. The part cot me $60 and a full day to put it in and we were set to go.

30 miles outside of Sarasota Randy's rig started acting up by not dropping into gear. Off to the shop it wen where it sat for two days while we did the festival. The issue? Turns out the parking break didn't release properly as Randy was driving with it sort of engaged which ended up overheating the transmission. That little incident cost $500. What a pain in the ass.

After Sarasota, I traveled up to Louisiana where friend's Pam and Steve live. I did Thanksgiving there which was a fabulous decision. The food and company were excellent. I met some new friends, spent time with old friends and just really had a wonderful day.

December sees me in San Marcos, TX where I'll be for at least the next 6 months. I'm staying at Medieval Moccasins' headquarters while working for them building up stock to handle the spring/ early summer festivals.

Coming back to San Marcos is like coming home. I spent enough time here last year that I sort of know my way around town and know what's in the general area. The land emits a lovely homey vibe since it's familiar and beautiful. It was definitely sad to pull in here knowing that Ingrid's smile wasn't going to be greeting me. I took some time and went to say my greetings in her Gemini Garden.

This weekend I'll be at Dickens on the Strand in Galveston, TX. The Rogues have several shows there and it's a fun little Victorian Christmas themed street festival. So if any of the readers here are in the area, I'd love to see you! Ingrid Wendt Healing Fund

This went off Saturday night as smooth as can be!

Yay this fundraiser is done, yay it went well! Huge thanks go out to my co-organizer Stacy Lute. I would have been lost without you, lady! You are the bees knees!

All of the MDRF merchants and Friends of Faire who donated time, money or an item to the event. Because of you terrific folks we were able to raise over $5,300! That, combined with our online donations via PayPal brings us to I think just over $17,000. That is amazing!

The festival itself who donated a private privy! What a seriously wanted and fun item to get to auction!

The entertainers: The Rogues, Wolgemut, Tinsmith, DragonSong, Drum Runners, EJ Jones, bellydancers Kashira and Amustela, Sprite for the step dancing and our emcee for the evening Michael Rosman who wasn't feeling 100% and still kept the night moving and entertaining!

Our volunteers who stepped in and helped set up, tear down, sell tickets, work the door ect Erica, Shaun, Karen, Katie, Jen and Kim - if it weren't for you guys this would not have gone near as smooth as it did.

It was great to get to see Hal the Piper piping away after his serious health issues just a few months ago. Hal and Judith can light up a room like no one I know.

HUGE grateful hugs go out to everyone who attended and bid on items. I'm touched and thankful for all of you.

Last of all, on a personal note, Joe and Diana Wheeler - you two are my heroes! They actually won the only item I was bidding on in the raffle auction and then gave it to me! Thanks to them I am the new owner of a Goodly Woods quilted maple mug. A couple of months ago I decided I wanted a wooden mug because my metal one really doesn't handle warm liquids well. I've shopped around and knew the right one would present itself. I can't wait to get the medallion made for the bottom of it! Continue Reading

Maryland Renaissance Festival Ends

Finally.

MDRF is done for this year. Not much to say about that except that I am happy it's done because it really wasn't a whole lot of fun this season.

The Maryland faire will always hold a special place in my heart because it's my home faire but the past two years have really sucked the fun out of the festival for me. Last year it was all the band drama and this year it was shoe booth drama

I was, however, happy and grateful to at least get to lay eyes and wrap my arms around most of my friends at least once this season. I think I managed to meet all of the babies that were born over the winter.

Last MDRF Weekend

Finally! It's the last weekend of the Maryland Renaissance Festival! This excites me for a number of reasons:

The Rogues are back to playing! That's right the fellas will be out there playing some awesome music! You will be able to find me selling CDs whenever they are playing. This also means I get to see the wonderful Heather again.

Chela and Klaus are coming into town. I'm so excited to see them and hug them!

The culmination of all of the hard work Stacy Lute and I have been doing for the Ingrid Wendt Healing Fund happens on Saturday. Without Stacy I would still be floundering around. I'm so glad she took the reins on the auction! The event is going to be wonderful and a glorious celebration of Ingrid nd a chance for some closure for those of us who had to stay here when Ingrid passed.

Sunday - all of my rowdy friends are coming to faire! At the first Rogues show we will be gathering to remember Heather and Brit's mom, Joyce. I can't wait to see everyone. I need a dose of my peoples. I'll be working selling CDs but it's the last day so I plan on getting a bit rowdy myself.

This summer has been a lot of work and it's not quite over yet . . .

The first weekend or so in November I am working on a Make the Homeless Smile event. If any of my friends have cold weather clothing, blankets ect they would like to donate please bring them to faire with you and I will get them there.

Northern Bound

This weekend will see me traveling to Connecticut and the Connecticut Renaissance Faire with The Rogues.

I'm excited to see a new faire. I'll try to remember to take pictures.

MDRF continues. Last weekend was a half work weekend for me. I sold moccasins on Saturday but on Sunday I spent the day wandering and collecting donations for the Ingrid Wendt Healing Fund auction.

I also got to see some friends for the first time in aout a year though we didn't get to spend any time together unfortunately. I really miss my MD horror crew. It seems like everyone's life has gone in a new direction and we've all been scattered to the wind. MDRF Opening Weekend

Yay! I survived. It has been a busy couple of weeks and this week even more so since MDRF runs for three days: Saturday, Sunday and Monday for Labor Day.

It was great getting to catch up with a lot of folks who I haven't seen in a year. It's also been very sad at the same time since Ingrid's passing on Wednesday of last week.

This weekend I'll try to take some pictures if I remember - it ends up being a very busy day running back and forth to sell for The Rogues. During the week I'm working in Medieval Moccasins learning production so I can carry those skills with me to Texas this winter and be of some use.

Oh! I have been hooping - I try to work in an hour a day but I haven't learned any new stuff in a while so I need to get working on that.

April Already?

Holy crap! This year is flying by. I can't believe it's April already. Yay for Spring! We've had a couple days of heavy rain here in San Marcos. Thankfully, it rained during the week and not on a weekend which makes for an uncomfortable work day.

The Sherwood Forest Faire just wrapped up last weekend and this weekend is the beginning of the Scarborough Renaissance Faire so my next 8 weekends are tied up working with the folks at Medieval Moccasins. If you have the time and the inclination come out to Waxahachie, TX and visit me!

This Saturday is also my 38th birthday. 38 ... good grief. This is definitely not where I imagined my life being at this age but then I really don't recall ever imagining my life to this age. I'm happy, healthy, working, having fun and enjoying life in a way that I doubt I would if I stayed on the course I was on two years ago. I am living with little to no stress, have a roof over my head, food in my belly and all of my cats. This time last year I wasn't entirely sure of any of that was going to be possible.

A couple weeks from now will be the one year aniversary of full-timing on the road. It went by so fast. Who knew life could be so enjoyable when you don't have to worry about someone taking your home from you?

Hitting The Road Again, Briefly

We've been in Houston since just before Thanksgiving and originally planned to stay here until we moved back to the northeast for late spring/ summer when Randy's band has gigs scheduled. Those plans have changed. Where we're staying now is costing us $300 + electric per month for parking my van, Randy's 36' RV and the car. That can be pricy when you have very little income.

The next couple weeks will see us packing up and moving nearly 3 hours West to San Marcos and free parking. We'll be paying electric but that isn't a big deal. We been graciously offered a spot to park by some friends who live out that way. With that offer also comes the offer of paid work with our friends at Medieval Moccasins. Seems they are short a salesperson and also shoe makers. I haven't seen the area yet but I can only hope I'll be happier there than here. Houston has been fun but the parking situation sucks. We're on pavement and next to a very busy road. At least there are trees and birds here and some grassy areas to walk the cats. I'm hoping the property we're moving to is more rural since it sits at least 30 minutes outside of Austin. Guess we'll see when we get there.

I'll definitely be happy with a change of scenery. I'd gotten used to being in a new area every month or so. This move definitely has me excited.

This weekend we'll be visiting the Sherwood Forest Faire. I'll get to dust off the garb and get dressed up for a day of reveling and drinking.
